Bliss

I don't know that I have ever been more appreciative of a little getaway with my husband. We just really needed a break and some time to CHILL, and heading to Seattle for a couple days gave us exactly that. We stayed at the Sheraton (thanks for the great deal, Hotwire), which is right in the middle of everything we wanted to do. We had a great dinner, saw a movie, SLEPT IN ( I was so happy when I woke up to look at the clock and it was 9:45 - seriously, it's been a long time since I could sleep in that long), hung out at Pike Place and had crepes in the morning, shopped, took lots of pictures, and found a cozy place in our hotel to read in the afternoon. A perfect prelude to Valentine's day, and I feel so refreshed. I love Derek just a little bit more today, if that is possible:)

Valentines

The girls made their valentines for the first time this year.We actually went to Dairy Queen one night and had ice cream and finished putting these flowers together - it was a fun big girls time!
Friday was a crazy day of Valentines parties - my preschool class, Hailey's preschool class and Symantha's second grade class. The girls were SO excited to wear valentine shirts and pass out their valentines.

After the last party, Derek and I escaped for the night.... I was so ready for this.

Ten on Ten: February

Definitely a Valentine's theme today, as I look back. Lots of getting ready for parties and decorating. Then I got to have a special night with the big girls, while Addison visited Nana. A busy day, but a fun one!

A little taste of Spring

On our break between basketball and cheerleading today, we got to enjoy the sunshine on the playground. It felt like Spring and we all loved it. We played lots of tag and the kids did all their tricks on monkey bars, slides and teeter totters. I wish every Saturday was like this!

Hailey's show and tell

It was "S" week at preschool, and Hailey had the perfect idea to bring for show and tell. She decided she would bring a Song, and she would sing it for the class. She spent a long time deciding what song, and Daddy helped her practice in his office before school started. She decided to combine two songs, "Catch a Falling Star" and "Connected" (from the Barbie and the Diamond Castle movie). She said she thinks everyone liked it, but only her teachers clapped. I wish I could have seen it! But she did it for me at home, and here is the performance.... so completely hilarious.

Red, yellow, green, blue...

Addison turned TWO!
It was a colorful celebration with Addison's friends at The Bouncy Place.
Here are a few of my favorite shots (thanks to my friends, there were over 250 pictures to choose from).
