Up all Night

How can someone so sweet cause so much trouble? Addison has been keeping us up at night by waking up screaming and throwing fits if we don't pick her up. We haven't gotten more than 1 1/2 hours of sleep at a time over the last week or two. By your third kid, you know that no stage lasts for long, but this one has me baffled and frustrated! I know she isn't sick because she is fine during the day. I think she just wants her mommy at night and is determined to scream until I hold her. The joys of a 7 month old... at least she is cute!

My blogging friends are going to be so proud of me. I said there was no way I would have time to do this, but here I am, convinced that it would be a good way to keep everyone in touch with what is going on with our busy little family. It really is pretty easy, and fun to do. I love reading everyone else's, so the peer pressure got to me! I'll do my best to keep it up.

Last week, our family got to take a much needed vacation together and go to Port Townsend. It was so great to have some uninterupted family time! We stayed in a little cabin that had a fire pit and grassy area, along with a visiting peacock that hung around! Yes, I did say peacock, it belonged to the people who owned the cabin. Anyways, we did lots of exploring at Fort Warden, which had tunnels and all sorts of areas to climb on. The girls felt quite adventurous.

One of the things we love about Port Townsend is that it has a little of everything all in one place - a sandy beach with lighthouse, great parks, a fun little town with awesome places to eat, Fort Warden to explore and so on. It was just the right mix of relaxation and fun for our family. Even Addison did well, although she hung out a lot in her stroller.

As soon as we got back, all the craziness began for the new school year. As I look back to last week, it makes this trip seem all the more enjoyable!
